Letters to Manimegalai | Chapter One
There are some people who leave quietly but never really leave you. Manimegalai was one of those people for me. The last time we spoke was sometime near the end of school, before life scattered us into different cities, different versions of ourselves. But even now, years later, I still find pieces of her in the way I look at beauty, softness, color, and courage.
She had this way of making the world feel larger than it was. She made me feel seen before I even knew I needed that. Some friendships don’t end dramatically, they simply become memories you keep returning to, like old letters tucked carefully into a drawer.
Letters To Manimegalai is my way of writing back.
Every saree in this chapter feels like a page from a conversation we never got to finish. The flowers, the colors, the stories, they all carry fragments of admiration, nostalgia, and the quiet empowerment she left behind without ever realizing it. This collection is not just inspired by her. It is written to her.
